BODY:

On October 25, 2026, Yostar announced that the Japanese publisher of Blue Archive (iOS, Android, PC) will change from Yostar to Nexon, with the change planned for around January 2027. The news came out in the game's official livestream that day, and Nexon issued its own announcement.

Nexon says the aim is to deepen cooperation between NEXON Games, the developer, and Nexon, the publisher, and to build a setup that handles development, operations and IP expansion in one place.

For players, Nexon says the publisher change does not affect game data. Players complete an account transfer procedure, after which all account data carries over, and in-game items and Pyroxene (the in-game currency) remain usable.

In November 2026, a conversation video between general producer Kim Yongha and Yostar's CEO will be released along with the account transfer procedure page, and in January 2027 maintenance for the publisher change is planned. A message from Kim Yongha was also posted on the official account of the studio IO DIVISION, apologizing for the stir the announcement caused.

The insider take

The November page will be where the practical details land. Until then, the announcement is about structure, not about what players will see day to day.
