BODY: C. Viper is getting a new look in Street Fighter 6, and this one is made for the beach. Capcom has announced that the super spy will get a swimsuit-themed costume. Japanese outlet GAME Watch reports that it's one of the more revealing designs in the game so far.
The costume will be C. Viper's Outfit 4, and it's part of the game's swimsuit series of alternate costumes. Capcom plans to release it on October 13, 2026. It will be available on every platform the game supports: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
The costume isn't the only thing coming that day. New fighter Arjun also joins the roster on October 13. That gives players both a new character and a fresh look for a familiar one. Capcom hasn't announced a price yet. Past alternate costumes have been sold in the in-game store, so this one will probably work the same way.
C. Viper first appeared in Street Fighter IV, where she was known for her tricky, combo-heavy style. Her other costumes have mostly stuck to her agent look: a sleek catsuit, sunglasses and tech gadgets. A swimsuit is a big change from that. Capcom has done this kind of thing before, with seasonal and themed costumes that show a playful side of its cast.
The insider take
In Japan, swimsuit costumes (mizugi) are a standard part of fighting-game and gacha culture. Fans expect them, and they tend to sell well. Capcom knows this, so the timing is smart. By releasing the outfit with Arjun, Capcom gives lapsed players two reasons to come back at once. Japanese players have been quick to share screenshots of the design and pick apart the details. That's typical for any new Street Fighter 6 costume, especially for a character as popular as Viper. SF6 is still a regular at events like Tokyo's Capcom Pro Tour qualifiers, and each new costume refreshes how the game looks on stream. Expect plenty of pros to wear this one on stream.
