BODY: On October 31, Nintendo published a video on its official YouTube channel titled "Pikmin Day Direct," featuring Shigeru Miyamoto. In it, the company announced that it has set November 1 of every year as Pikmin Day.
According to 4Gamer.net, the idea behind the date is the image of three Pikmin lined up in a row.
The video also announced that a demo of Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Test will be released on November 2. The full game is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12.
The demo lets players try the early part of Pikmin 4, an area called the Sun-Speckled Terrace, plus two stages of the Dandori Test. Save data from the demo can be carried over into the full game.
Nintendo also announced "Hello! Pikmin," a series of original short movies on the theme of Pikmin. One will be released each month through the smartphone app Nintendo Today! and other channels. In November, two will be released: one on November 1 and another on one more day during the month.
