BODY: Pokémon Sleep asks you to sleep for points. Showa Nishikawa would now like to sell you the mattress-adjacent hardware to do it properly.
The Tokyo bedding maker is rolling out its autumn/winter 2026 collaboration with the sleep-tracking app from October 16, with 19 items spread across seven categories — everything from pre-bed lounging to lights-out. Headlining the lineup is the Giga Pillow EX (¥19,800, roughly $130), an oversized 90×70cm pillow in two designs, one of which depicts Eevee sprawled out in what Japanese calls the dai-no-ji pose — limbs flung wide like the character 大. It is, essentially, an invitation to co-sleep with a Pokémon.
The soft goods go deeper than that. There's a double-layered blanket featuring the Eevee Friends lineup (¥14,300) using moisture-absorbing heat-generating fill, a padded boa blanket in Snorlax and Greengrass Isle designs (¥13,200, or ¥8,800 for the half size), and a New Mayer blanket wrapped in Eevee art across three sizes from ¥4,400 to ¥8,800. Body pillows (¥9,900) come in Snorlax and Bewear, the latter being a 120cm bear you are presumably meant to trust.
The cheapest entry point is the stretch pillow towel at ¥5,500, available in five designs — Ditto, Togepi, Pikachu, Eevee, and Snorlax — for anyone who wants the aesthetic without replacing their actual pillow. Two wearable blankets (¥9,900, free size, Pikachu and Eevee) follow on November 6.
The insider take
Showa Nishikawa isn't a licensing shell — it's a serious futon manufacturer carrying the Nishikawa name, a bedding lineage Japanese consumers associate with department-store sleep counters and mattress fittings rather than character goods. That's what makes this partnership quietly clever: Pokémon Sleep is one of the few game properties where merchandise and gameplay point in the same direction, and Japan's autumn retail calendar is built around exactly this stuff. The kiru mōfu — wearable blanket — is a seasonal fixture here, as is the oversized Giga Pillow, which Showa Nishikawa has sold for years without any Pokémon on it. Expect the ¥5,500 pillow towels to move fastest; expect the Bewear body pillow to become a very specific kind of internet photograph.
