BODY: Capcom is bringing its oldest robot hero into its newest sci-fi series. During the "Capcom Spotlight" stream at Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 16, the publisher announced that Pragmata will get a free DLC called the "Rockman Pack" on September 17.

The pack has four costumes, two for each lead character. Hugh, the spacesuited protagonist, gets "Narikiri Rockman" (a fan-style Mega Man costume) and "Rockman Mode." Diana, the young android who travels with him, gets "Narikiri Roll" and "Roll Mode," based on Mega Man's sister and support robot, Roll.

Capcom's announcement names two versions for each character: a "narikiri" costume and a "Mode" outfit. In Japanese, narikiri means playing dress-up as a character, so that version will probably look like a homemade tribute. The "Mode" names suggest a more complete transformation. Capcom hasn't fully explained the difference yet, so screenshots will show how far each version goes.

The pairing is a natural fit. Pragmata is about a human and a robot girl who rely on each other, and the original Mega Man games had a similar bond between Rock and Roll, the two robots built by Dr. Light. Capcom is also giving the pack away for free rather than selling it, which should please fans.

The insider take

In Japan, the character has always been "Rockman," never "Mega Man." Capcom uses the Japanese name on the pack, and Japanese players will recognize it right away. The series has had few new mainline games in recent years, but Capcom keeps it visible through collaborations, merchandise and cameos. The original game came out in Japan in December 1987, so the series turns 40 next year. That makes this free pack look like an early step toward the anniversary. For Tokyo fans at the show, it was also a sign that Capcom still sees Rockman as a mascot worth featuring alongside its newest projects.
