BODY: G-MODE has announced the first cast members for Zoku Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken: Boukyaku no Maisou (roughly "The Portopia Serial Murder Case, Continued: The Forgotten Burial"), according to GAME Watch. The detective adventure is planned for March 4, 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and Steam. Prices are 7,678 yen for the standard edition, 9,878 yen for the limited edition and 4,800 yen for the download version.

The game consists of six "case files": the remake of The Portopia Serial Murder Case plus five new stories. The files are named Yasuhiko Mano, Yukiko Hirata, Ryoko Miyake, Michael Okamura, Sosuke Kashiwagi and one still shown as question marks. This first announcement covers Case File: Yasuhiko Mano, the remake part, with its synopsis, characters and cast, along with behind-the-scenes photos from the voice recording.

In the story, the body of Kozo Yamakawa, president of a loan company, is found in the study of his home. It is first thought to be a suicide, but because murder is suspected, the first investigation division of the Hyogo prefectural police takes up the case. The investigation is handled by a veteran detective known as the Boss and his partner, a young detective named Yasuhiko Mano.

The cast is: Yasuhiko Mano (Tomoaki Maeno), a promising young detective who seems easygoing but shows a dark shadow at times; Fumie Sawaki (Yuka Hiiragi), the president's secretary, who found the body with the guard; Toshiyuki Yamakawa (Katsuya Fukunishi), the president's nephew and only relative, who is unemployed, lives on money from his uncle and has a record for assault; Rokusuke Komiya (Kosuke Echigoya), the guard at the president's house, who is timid but stubborn; and Oko Yuhi (Kana Ueda), a dancer at the Shinkaichi theater Shingeki Silver. The GAME Watch headline says Maeno plays "Yasu."

The limited edition includes an A5 booklet and an original soundtrack, and customers who preorder at participating stores get first-come store-specific bonuses. The Switch and Switch 2 package versions, both standard and limited, include the complete Famicom version of The Portopia Serial Murder Case on the same multi-application card. The download and Steam versions do not include it.
