BODY: Aniplex spent Saturday handing out release dates, but the loudest cheer in the room went to a series that will not air for more than a year.

At the Aniplex One Focus 2026 event, the studio announced the main cast, additional staff members and a cast-announcement promotional video for the television anime adaptation of Coco Uzuki's manga Koiseyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo (Fall in Love, You False Angels). The series is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

Nao Ojika, whose recent credits include Mahou no Shimai Lulutto Lilly, will voice Otogi Katsura. Opposite her, Taito Ban β€” best known internationally for Ore dake Level Up na Ken (Solo Leveling) β€” takes the role of Toki Ninomae. The pairing anchors a cast announcement that arrived alongside fresh staff additions, including Yuuki Kurihara of Haigakura.

The accompanying video is a cast-reveal promo rather than a full trailer, leaning on character art and voice work instead of finished animation β€” a familiar shape for a project still deep in production. Aniplex has not announced a broadcast quarter, network or episode count.

The insider take

Announcing a 2027 title in September 2026 is no longer the flex it once was in Tokyo. With studios booked years out and key animators effectively pre-sold to multiple projects, a lead time this long is the industry's honest accounting rather than a marketing tease β€” and Aniplex, which has built One Focus into a single-publisher showcase rather than a multi-studio grab bag, now uses these events to plant flags on its slate well before anything is screenable. The casting choices tell their own story: Ban carries genuine overseas name recognition from Solo Leveling, a reminder that Japanese production committees increasingly weigh a voice actor's international profile alongside their domestic one. Pairing him with Ojika, a rising name still building her lead-role rΓ©sumΓ©, is the standard Tokyo hedge β€” one bankable draw, one performer the series can help make. Expect a proper trailer around mid-2027, not before.
